From early on, I was drawn not just to transformation in appearance—but to the shift in how a woman carries herself when she feels aligned with her essence. Beyond the Surface
As a beauty editor for a leading women’s digital media platform, I reached millions. I produced, art-directed, styled, and supported colleagues through high-pressure launches and deeply personal moments alike. But despite the scale of my work, I often felt conflicted by the industry’s shallow narratives and clickbait culture. I advocated for content that uplifted clean beauty, wellness, and self-connection—while quietly questioning the very systems I was part of.
Serving Visionaries & Brides Around the World
Alongside my editorial career, I became a go-to artist for Silicon Valley’s top female leaders, traveling the world for destination weddings, events, and branding shoots. The more I witnessed, the more clearly I saw the disconnect: beauty had become a product of manipulation, insecurity, and performance. And yet, in my sessions, women told me they felt calm, seen, safe—like they were coming home to themselves. That’s when everything changed... My role was never just about hair and makeup. It was about guiding women through threshold moments, helping them reclaim their own beauty, power, and presence.
From Industry to Initiation
What began as a profession became a practice. I immersed myself in the ritual and ceremonial roots of adornment, drawing from mysticism, ancestral beauty practices, and wellness traditions. There were moments I questioned whether to leave the industry altogether—until I realized: I wasn’t meant to leave it. I was meant to reshape it.

is the result. It’s a space where beauty returns to its origin—as a ritual of remembrance—where health, wellness, and vitality form the foundation from which true radiance emerges. A way of aligning with self-worth for the next evolution. Hi, I’m Misty—mother, ritualist, holistic beauty practitioner, and founder of Threshold Adornment.
I’ve always carried an inner rebel—the part of me that questioned what we were taught about beauty, success, and womanhood. From investment banking to editorial beauty, I’ve worn many hats, but every path has led me back to one truth: presence, integrity, and deep alignment matter more than perfection.

Becoming a mother transformed everything. It cracked me open to the full spectrum of life and ignited my devotion to living with awareness, humility, and care. Through the reclamation of my womb, my cycles, and my body’s innate wisdom, I’ve remembered what it means to live in rhythm—and I bring that remembrance into every space I hold.
My work is rooted in reverence—for beauty, for transformation, and for the unseen parts of ourselves that long to be witnessed. I create space for women to feel more at home in their bodies, more seen in their becoming, and more radiant in their truth. I live for meaningful conversations, natural landscapes, and morning organic coffee direct from my friends farm that smells like a love letter to the senses. I’m here to make things beautiful—and to remind you that beauty, when rooted in presence and reclamation, has the power to change everything.
